The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Monarch” is an October 2021 collaboration between the famous Amsterdam sneaker boutique and Nike on the classic performance running shoe. Patta drew inspiration from his connection to his community for the unique redesign of the iconic Air Max 1. The “Monarch” offers a new take on the Air Max 1 with a wave pattern on the mudguard. Subtle but effective, the modified look continues the timeless design with a modern flair. Signature Patta branding appears on the tongue and lining. A small Swoosh is embroidered on the side of the mudguard. The upper is made of silver mesh and the overlays appear in a tonal felt material. An orange Swoosh appears on both sides of the shoe and “Nike Air” details are embroidered on the heel. A small visible Max Air unit in the heel of the cream midsole completes the look.
