The Air Jordan 5 “Racer Blue” is a February 2022 release of Michael Jordan’s classic signature shoe in a colorway reminiscent of the original “Black Metallic” colorway. This “Racer Blue” edition replaces red accents with royal blue and adds even more color by also featuring a blue midsole. The upper is made of black synthetic nubuck leather with translucent mesh panels on the sides and tongue. The silver reflective tongue has a Jumpman embroidered in Racer Blue and a Racer Blue Jumpman is embroidered on the heel. Additional Racer Blue accents come into play on the bottom of the tongue, on the toggle of the clear lace closure, and on the midsole with silver shark tooth-inspired details.
