The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Starfish” is an August 2021 release of Michael Jordan's first signature shoe in low-top form that pays tribute to a now-classic colorway. The “Starfish,” despite its nickname, is a nod to the popular “Shattered Backboard” of the Air Jordan 1, specifically the “Reverse Shattered Backboard” Jordan 1 from 2016 with its black, white, and orange color scheme. Additionally, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is a nearly one-to-one remake of the original version of the low-top basketball shoe from 1985. As for the “Starfish,” white leather appears on the perforated toe and medial panel. Contrasting starfish-colored leather is found on the layered panels. A black leather Swoosh appears on both sides. The placement of the black “Wings” logo on the heel is a design element true to the original Air Jordan 1 Low OG. Black laces contrast with the white nylon tongue and Starfish tongue label with white “Nike Air” branding.
