The Nike Dunk Low “UNLV” is an original colorway of the former performance basketball shoe that was included in the 1985 “Be True to Your School Pack.” The “UNLV” returns in January 2021, referencing the makeup of the Dunk made exclusively for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels basketball team during the model's first product cycle in the '80s. As for this contemporary re-release, Nike is keeping the original look and the results are clearly favorable. Varsity Red leather overlays appear on the forefoot, toe cap, eyelets and heel. The Las Vegas area school's Vast Gray hue appears on the perforated toe, medial panel, collar and heel. Additional red accents are found on the leather Swoosh branding that appears on both sides as well as on the heel counter and laces. A gray “Nike” embroidery is sewn onto the back of the shoe. A thin nylon tongue features classic Nike Air branding to complete the look.
