The Air Jordan 1 OG “Shattered Backboard 3.0” is the third release of the highly coveted “Shattered Backboard” colorway of the Air Jordan 1. The “Shattered Backboard” theme is inspired by an exhibition game in Italy that Michael Jordan played in during his Rookie season. During the game, Jordan famously broke the backboard glass after a monstrous dunk. The first two iterations of the “Shattered Backboard” were a success due to the use of high quality materials and eye-catching orange and black color combinations. The “Shattered Backboard 3.0” corresponds to previous versions of the sneaker and adds new design features to stand out. One noticeable difference is that a crimped glossy patent leather upper replaces the leather of the first two “Shattered Backboard” models. Black crimped glossy leather is featured on the medial panel, toe and ankle collar. Pale Vanilla Starfish shiny crinkled leather adds pops of color around the toe, quarter panel, Swoosh and side heel. A black leather Wings logo is located near the collar. A vintage-inspired yellow sole gives the sneaker a lovingly worn look.
