Jordan 4 Retro Lightning (2021)

The Air Jordan 4 “Lightning 2021” is a modern take on the coveted colorway of Michael Jordan's fourth signature shoe, originally released in August 2006. Without question one of the most sought-after Air Jordan shoes of all time. The first “Lightning” was released in extremely limited quantities exclusively on Jumpman23.com (the former Jordan Brand website) alongside a “reverse” black and yellow “Thunder” Jordan 4, which together make up the “Thunder & Lightning” pack originated. The “Lightning” was accompanied by an Air Jordan “Flight” T-shirt and the “Thunder” was paired with a varsity jacket. In 2012, Jordan Brand brought back the “Thunder,” but strangely decided against releasing the “Lightning.” 15 years after its debut, the “Lightning” returned almost true to the original. Like the OG, the modern incarnation of the “Lightning” features Tour Yellow nubuck leather on the upper with black mesh on the tongue and center panel. Gray “wings” and black eyelets contrast the yellow look. Elsewhere, white Jumpman branding appears on the nylon tongue label and black Jumpman adorns the rear of the shoe. Jordan Brand opts for a slightly lighter gray rubber outsole than the unit found on the original 2006 “Lightning.”
